Computer Engineer/Network Engineer

Easy Internet Services is a dynamic company with 10 years of experience within the IT industry. In addition to being a leading Internet Service Provider, we have a computer retail store, the largest workshop facility in North Queensland (capable of servicing 35 machines concurrently) and a network engineering team who service small to medium sized business clients.

We are looking for an enthusiastic well presented person to join our team as a Junior Network Engineer.

The applicant must to have strong knowledge and experience with the following:

- Broadband and Dialup internet technologies
- Windows XP / Vista and Office products
- Wireless technologies and encryption
- Computer Hardware
- TCP/IP networking and routing
- Experience with small office / home user peer to peer networking.

Experience with Windows 2003 / Small Business Server, Exchange Server, SQL Server would be a bonus although this is not necessary. Any other qualifications such as MSCE, Cabling Licence and other tertiary qualifications would be a bonus although again not necessary.

The applicant should be a hard working team player with strong ethics. Average work hours would be 35-50 hours per week depending on workload. The applicant should show a keen willingness to learn and better themselves.


We will train you over time in server environments, your long term goal should be to become a Senior Network Engineer with our company.

We are interested in the professional development of our staff and we are willing to discuss the packaging of tertiary and/or industry specific training.

We expect that your work load would be 60% onsite, 40% workshop based, you will be responsible for a range of different clients giving you a large variety of experience.

A stable work history plus relevant references will be essential as is a current drivers licence.

Add to that the fact that they treat our customers as if they were solid gold, and you can appreciate our difficulty in finding an additional Technician to join our team. We all work very hard, though not too seriously, and we enjoy our challenges and each other’s company a lot. We treat our staff as if they are part of our own family, and we are genuinely concerned with the well being of our people beyond the work environment. Each Monday morning our staff have the opportunity to attend a physical training session with our Customer Service Manager and fitness expert Justin Orchard. We call our training session "Boot Camp" and we refer to Justin as "The Commando." Attendance is optional although the entire team shows up each week for a personal training session and some nice breakfast before work.
