Power Outage in Mackay CBD

November 20th, 2009

There was a power outage in the CBD today which effected our Mail server from about 3:30pm until 9:00pm.

This also effected customers on our Wireless network as we had no power to operate the network once the UPS batteries ran flat.

We are getting quotes next week to put a backup diesel power generator into our office prior to the storm season which if economical to do so we will proceed to install as soon as possible.
