Standby Generator comming

We've ordered a standby diesel generator that will power our entire business in the event of a power outage.

This will mean that during extended power outages in the Mackay CBD our Internet services would not be effected. The unit is completely automatic, in the event of a power failure our battery backup system will kick in and approximately one minute later the power will change from battery to generator backup power.

When the power comes back on, 10 minutes later the system will switch back to mains power.

The generator we are installing is large enough to run the entire business so it would be business as usual during a blackout once this is installed.

Installation will be complete by the end of January 2010.
